Immortal Light

I wake to see light shifting
like the melody of some sweet song
as a subtle hint of color
announces approaching dawn.

Celestial horizons are coming into view
as angels whisper prayers of hope
that falls to the earth
on each drop of refreshing dew.

The fire of hope has taken root
in the depths of my overflowing heart
and I ponder the grace and beauty
of this natural work of art.

As I reflect on the colors blending
across the morning sky
I sip deeply from the cup of tranquility
God has placed above me in the sky.

Streets of gold unfold 'cross the horizon
leaving a pathway of rekindled hope.
The Savior's left immortal light
to guide us safely home.
