Lasting Memories

Come out among the trees with me
Along the mountainside.
Let me learn to see their beauty
As reflected in your eyes.

And if while we are walking
We are shrouded by the mists.
Don't think to harshly of me
if I lean to steal a kiss.

And as the day is ending
The shadows start to grow.
Ignore the teardrops on my cheeks
For I know you must go.

For a time we shared a beauty
Many others seldom see.
And in those precious moments
Made a lasting memory.
