The Greatest Work

The Greatest Work

"Lift up your eyes on high, and see who has created these things."
"Isaiah 40:26

The greatest work of literature
Was penned by God's own hand..
Then unfolded cross the universe
to be shared by the race of man.

It's majesty astounds us
As we look up at night and see.
Stars and worlds beyond imagination.
Places we each long to see.

From ancient times man has explored it,
To unlock it's mysteries;
(as though seeking a key).
When what we're really looking for
Is written there for all the world to see.

The author hung the moon and stars,
They are whispering his name.
The plan his from the beginning,
He gave a book that speaks his name.

He created for all mankind,
The grandest church of all.
One with hope and promise.
Open to one and all.

Learned men stand silent.
When through telescopes they see,
Orions glories open to reveal
A corridor so wondrous;
it's appears made for a king.

So, lift your eyes to heaven
behold the greatest book of all.
Let it remind you of the author.
The one who designed and loves us all.
